Accent Français launches new programmes

French language provider Accent Français has announced a new suite of programmes for 2018, including an absolute beginner course, an academic year, French plus volunteering and French plus demi pair.

The new 16-week course for total beginners is aimed at students from a non-Latin alphabet background, and aims to progress learners through A0 and A1 levels to A2 by the end of the programme. The first course will commence from May.

Virginie Courau, Director of Accent Français, told StudyTravel Magazine, "The most important new programme to me is the programme we will start for non-Latin alphabet students; it means a lot to me because recently more and more students from Asia, but also from the Middle East and Eastern Europe, have expressed the demand to study on their own path and to study in groups where they feel more comfortable."

The new Academic Year programme targets a B2-level exam and assists international students to enter a French university or higher education college. Students have the option of progressing to business and IT courses at Accent Français' partner higher education institutions in Montpellier.

Other new programmes in the Accent Français portfolio for 2018 include a Gap Year Package, French plus Volunteering, and French plus Demi Pair.

For the volunteering programme, a minimum four weeks of language study can be followed by a placement of between two and 12 months with the Red Cross, in either social, first aid or training strands. Demi Pair students will be housed with families and combine approximately 20 hours of childcare work per week with a French language programme.

Virginie explained, "We decided to launch the academic, gap year, demi pair and volunteering programmes to answer clients' growing demands for long-term courses, and this is also the reason why we have negotiated general price decreases with all our accommodation partners in town."

Accent Français entered the StudyTravel Super Star Hall of Fame at the 2017 StudyTravel Star Awards after winning the ST Star French Language School category for a fifth time. The ST Star Awards are unique, industry peer-voted awards ceremony for educators, agents and service providers.
