BSC partners with NCUK to provide pathway

The London Hampstead campus of English language provider British Study Centres (BSC) has partnered with the NCUK consortium of universities to provide university preparation qualifications.

Under the arrangement, the Hampstead school will be offering NCUK's International Foundation Year (IFY) Business programme for international students from October this year.

Successful completion of the IFY will guarantee progression to one of the NCUK network of 16 universities in the UK. NCUK said the qualification was also widely recognised across the UK, Ireland, Australia and the USA.

Steve Phillips, Managing Director of Pathways and Transnational Education at BSC, said, "Like many language schools, we've not only seen an increase in enquiries around longer, academic foundation programmes, we've taken steps to meet the needs of this growing segment. Whilst we consider our own programme development and other market products, we felt the range of university progression of NCUK was second to none."

"BSC have evidenced robust academic performance, experienced tutors and modern facilities in London, one of the most attractive destinations for international students. We believe they will be a great addition to the NCUK network," said Georgina Jones, NCUK Market Development Director.

BSC London Hampstead was first established in 1977 and offers a range of English language programmes including,

The NCUK qualification was launched in 1987 and is delivered in 13 countries, as well as in the UK.
