LSF France, a partner in the new BedyLingua venture
New language and homestay platform to launch

Bedycasa, a homestay booking company, and language school LSF France have announced a joint venture that will lead to the launch of the BedyLingua, a platform for students and agents aimed at connecting language study trips with local homestays.

In a statement about BedyLingua, which will be powered by the Bed and Learn company, the two organisations said, "BedyLingua will propose a web-based platform where the internet user will connect to book a language stay combined with a local homestay.

"He/she will be able to perfect the language of his choice directly with the locals he is staying with (conversation) or, for more academic or professional purposes, take lessons in the best partner language schools or with fully qualified native-speaker teachers."

The host families and language schools will be ranked according to reviews and scores given by travellers using the site.

A beta version of the website was launched in November to mark the 10th anniversary of BedyCasa, with initial content in English, Spanish, French and Italian.

Magali Boisseau-Becerril, Founder of BedyCasa and Manager of Bed and Learn, said, "Given our experience in the collaborative economy and thanks to the educational expertise and support of LSF France, Bed and Learn is fully equipped to meet the challenge of revolutionising language stays."

"This joint venture is a major step for LSF France, whose ambition is to reinforce its position in the market, to adapt to future evolutions in this changing sector and finally to shine in fields which are complementary to its historic activity," said Marc Lavigne Delville, CEO of LSF France and President of Bed and Learn.

Andrew Kinselle, Commercial Director at LSF France, confirmed to StudyTravel Magazine that the site can be used by students directly and by agents, with commissions available for bookings received via agents.

Launched in 2007, BedyCasa specialises in homestays and offers 60,000 accommodation options in 11,000 locations worldwide. Based in Montpellier, LSF France was established in 1996, has the Label Qualite Fle accreditation and is a member school of Groupement FLE.
