CEG partners with the University of Reading

Cambridge Education Group (CEG) has announced a partnership with the University of Reading in the UK to provide an Undergraduate Foundation Programme (UFP) for international students from September 2017.

The ONCAMPUS Reading international study centre will offer successful international students guaranteed progression to a range of art and design degrees at the University of Reading's School of Arts and Communication Design.

In a statement, CEG said the school was home to a vibrant 24-hour studio community with state-of-the-art facilities, well-equipped studio space, a student-run gallery and commercial student-supported design and print studio.

CEG said that the University of Reading was an outstanding educational institution, with an internationally renowned reputation for the quality of its research and the excellence of its teaching, positioned among the top one per cent of universities worldwide and 25th in the UK by the QS World University Rankings 2016.

Vincenzo Raimo, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Global Engagement) at the University of Reading, commented, "I am very excited by the opportunities this new collaboration with the Cambridge Education Group will help to create. As well as providing a new, specialist pathway for international students aiming to join the University of Reading, CEG's prestigious international network of partners will also open up new opportunities for other kinds of international collaborations.

"We are an open, internationally focused university that welcomes people from all parts of the globe."

Fergus Brownlee, President of CEG, said, "ONCAMPUS Reading is a great new partnership that builds on our reputation for delivering quality pathway programmes. There is growing interest internationally for students to study creative disciplines, such as art and design. We are very pleased to be able to partner with the University of Reading to offer international students a route to study in these areas with one of the UK's leading institutions in the field."

The University of Reading adds to the portfolio of UK partner institutions for CEG's ONCAMPUS brand, which also offers pathway programmes in the USA, the Netherlands and Sweden.
