The new CLA school features 10 classrooms, a downstairs student lounge, a reception area, and space for students, teachers and staff to learn, interact and have fun, the school said.
Janine Krause, Director of Marketing at CLA, told StudyTravel Magazine, "Our San Diego branch is in the heart of San Diego, in the famous 'Gaslamp District', surrounded by great restaurants and tourist attractions with easy access to all the great things that San Diego has to offer."
She said the expansion had been facilitated by the growth of CLA since its establishment in 2010 by husband and wife team, Ari and Alissa Olgun.
"Thousands of students come to California every year to study English, but very few discover an authentic experience. California Language Academy was founded on the idea that language is living and vibrant. It must be experienced in order to be fully appreciated and understood," Janine said.
CLA San Diego will offer a similar portfolio of programmes to the Los Angeles school, including Vacation English courses of six, 12 and 15 hours per week and full-time programmes of 18, 21 or 27 hours, as well as Winter and Summer Junior Study Tours for teenagers aged 12-to-17.
California Language Academy is a member of EnglishUSA, is accredited by ACCET and is SEVP approved to accept international students on student visas.
An open house event will be held at the new San Diego school on April 13.
