ILSC collecting the CSR Champion award at ESL's second Languages Travel Awards
ESL acknowledges partner schools in awards

Switzerland-headquartered language travel agency chain ESL has rewarded partner schools for producing client satisfaction in the second edition of its Language Travel Awards.

Announced during a special ceremony in Barcelona, Spain, last week, the ESL awards were based on the results from surveys of more than 180 ESL team members and the reviews of over 7,000 students received in the last 12 months.

EC English in Malta was a major winner on the evening, collecting the ESL School of the Year, while Lexis Korea was the recipient of the same prize in the 'other languages' category.

School Group of the Year was collected by Kings Education, and Junior Programme of the Year was won by BSC Ardingly College, UK.

Other winners in the ESL 2017 awards were: Brooklyn School of Languages, USA (School Facilities of the Year); International House Belfast, UK (Accommodation Services of the Year); CIAL, Portugal (Teaching Programme of the Year); and Liverpool School of English, UK (Leisure Programme of the Year).

There was also an award for CSR Champion of the Year, collected by ILSC Education Group. In an interview with StudyTravel Magazine in 2013, Krister Weidenhielm of ESL outlined how corporate social responsibility (CSR) had shaped the business model of the agency, including its CSR self-assessment tool for schools.

The ceremony took place during ESL's annual workshop, which brings partners schools from around the world to meet with staff from across its 58-office network.
