The agreement ceremony between LSBF and Xiamen University
LSBF Singapore partners with Xiamen University

The London School of Business and Finance (LSBF) has announced the first Belt and Road Multicultural Studies Centre in Singapore, in collaboration with Xiamen University's Overseas Education College (OEC).

The centre, funded by the China Cultural Heritage Foundation under the auspices of China's Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), will offer transnational educational programmes, with the first expected to commence by January 2018.

Whilst the exact portfolio of the centre will be defined later this year, the idea is to provide business executives and students with a greater understanding of BRI, as well as offering insight into Chinese cultural nuances and business etiquette.

Zheng Tong Tao, Dean of Xiamen University, OEC, said, "We see great potential for LSBF in Singapore to facilitate the development of education under the B&R initiatives. They will push forward our shared vision of transnational education by providing holistic study experiences and cultural exchanges."

Rathakrishnan Govind, CEO of LSBF Global, added, "The partnership with Xiamen University and establishment of the B&R Multi-Cultural Centre in LSBF in Singapore is critical to our long term vision to provide relevant education to students and businesses who may be increasingly doing business in China."

Xiamen University is also working with LSBF to provide bilingual degree programmes and degree pathways in Singapore, such as the university's Bachelor of Management and LSBF's Bachelor of Economics in International Economics and Trade.

Students will be able to access Xiamen University's degree programmes with LSBF in Singapore as a two-year top-up, and the first intake is expected in October 2017.
