Agents visiting the new Lexis English Sunshine Coast school
Lexis Sunshine Coast expands with new campus

Australia-based language provider Lexis English has expanded its classroom capacity and relocated its Sunshine Coast school to a new, purpose-built premises in the Maroochydore Waterfront area.

"We have been keen to keep developing our presence on the Sunshine Coast, but waterfront building stock is in high demand and the supply is limited," said Ian Pratt, Managing Director of the Lexis Group.

"We eventually went ahead and designed a purpose-built facility ourselves, with the idea to make the most of the beachfront location. Students who travel up to study with us from Noosa and Maroochydore are looking for quality language programmes, but they want the beach too!"

He added, "With stunning ocean views from classrooms and the student lounge, I really don't think there is a school in the world that can match our location - we had migrating whales jumping in the surf just in front of the building this week. Students can be out of the class and into the surf in five minutes flat."

Ian commented that the expansion of classroom space was based on five years of strong growth and "some very pleasing diversity in our recruitment for this part of the world".

He added that recently developed programmes, including a CELTA teaching training course, English for Medical Professionals and High School Preparation, had contributed to the need for increased capacity.

"As a location, Maroochydore really captures what we're all about in Australia. We have a great group of teachers, a lovely beachfront location and exactly the lifestyle that students are looking for in Australia. We're very confident of continued growth on the Sunshine Coast," Ian added.

Lexis English, which is nominated in the StudyTravel Star Awards 2017 Star Chain School category, operates five language centres in Australia, and the group also has two Korean language schools - in Seoul and Busan - and a Japanese language centre in Kobe.
