Global international education company Study Group has partnered with Lipscomb University in Tennessee, USA, to establish an international study centre (ISC) and provide pathway programmes for overseas students.

In a statement, Study Group said that Lipscomb University - based in Nashville - currently hosts students from 47 countries and aims to grow that number through the partnership, which will also see the company providing marketing and recruitment along with admissions and student services.

"Lipscomb provides a tremendous opportunity to international students with innovative academics in a supportive college setting," said Emily Williams Knight, Managing Director for Study Group Higher Education North America.

"We are honoured to have been selected by Lipscomb University and to add this outstanding highly ranked university to our growing portfolio of North American partners. I am confident the international students who enrol into Lipscomb will thrive and only increase the cultural richness found across the campus today."

Study Group said that students at Lipscomb have a choice of 10 colleges and almost 200 academic programmes, and that Nashville was one of America's fastest-growing cities with "an energising cultural hub of music, food and art, in addition to top Fortune 500 companies".

This partnership will help us to expand our reach globally and create a more dynamic experience for students inside the classroom and throughout the community."

Lipscomb becomes the ninth pathway partner in the USA for Study Group, which also offers pathways in Australia, Canada, Ireland, the Netherlands, New Zealand and the UK.
