Toronto School of Management (TSoM) has launched, offering a suite of courses in accountancy, business and hospitality in downtown Toronto, Canada.

The college, which is part of Global University Systems (GUS), is due to open in March 2018 for its first student intake and will offer a portfolio of programmes ranging from diplomas to preparatory examination courses and apprenticeship training.

The initial five courses offered are: Diploma in Business Administration Co-op Program; Diploma in Business Management Co-op Program; Preparatory Course for ACCA Examination; Diploma in Hospitality and Tourism Management Co-op; and Advanced Diploma in Hospitality and Tourism Management Co-op.

Ehsan Safdari, Managing Director of Toronto School of Management, said, "We look forward to welcoming the first TSoM students next year. It is exciting to launch our first programmes and start this adventure.

"Our goal is to provide current, well-tailored and relevant signature programmes that focus on applied learning to support the success of our students."

The TSoM campus has a capacity of over 1,000 full-time students, and both domestic and international students will be recruited to the college.

Programmes will consist of classroom teaching and practical, hands-on learning. Theories learned in the classroom will be applicable directly in the work place, as teaching is supported by work experience with partners of the college.

"The ambition is to establish ourselves as an education provider with strong ties to businesses in Ontario, but also to look at the worldwide business scenario," said Ehsan.

"We set out to provide a truly comprehensive approach suitable for aspiring professionals coming from around the world, educating ambitious people to take their career further."
