University of Sussex International Study Centre increases degree options
The University of Sussex International Study Centre (ISC), UK, run by global education provider Study Group, now gives access to over 50 new undergraduate and postgraduate degrees thanks to enhanced International Foundation Year and Pre-Master's programmes.

Students progressing from the ISC will now have access to undergraduate degrees such as BEng Electrical and Electronic Engineering with Robotics, BA History and Politics, and BA Art History.

Master's such as MA Education, MA Philosophy, MA Art History and LLM Criminal Law and Criminology will also be available to international students.

The enhanced, streamlined International Foundation Year and Pre-Masters Programmes, developed by Study Group, enable international students to change their final degree progression plans during the first semester.

Vaughan Leyshon, Network Director at Study Group, said, "The enhanced programmes are more closely aligned with undergraduate and postgraduate study at the University where students choose electives and personalise their degree structure and content. These programmes will deliver a more consistent experience for ISC students."

Sally Johnson, International Marketing Manager at Study Group, added, "Focus groups with ISC Foundation and Pre-Master's alumni revealed a strong preference for flexibility. Students wanted to be able to choose the areas of interest and focus on the specialist subjects they found interesting.

"The Pre-Master's students also liked the focus on careers, critical reading and research skills."

Study Group's collaboration with the University of Sussex, its first public-private partnership, dates back to 2006 and was renewed for a further 10 years back in 2015

James Pitman, Managing Director for Higher Education UK and Europe, Study Group, meanwhile, featured in StudyTravel Magazine's View from the Desk of guest article last week, writing about the impact of Tier 4 compliance in the UK.
